Alan was born and raised in Manistique. After a successful career as a self-employed organizational and leadership development consultant for over 30 years, Alan and his high school sweetheart Julie, moved back to Manistique. Alan served as the executive director for the local Chamber and Economic Development Corporation for over 5 years. His love of local history and and knowledge of the business community are assets when it comes to assisting clients in considering the area as a home base, no matter their motivation. Alan is deeply involved in the "family business" of Scouting, serving locally as a Scoutmaster as well as in leadership roles on the district level. Alan and his wife Julie have established a real estate team, located in downtown Manistique, and repeatedly serve over 50 families a year. In their spare time, you'll find them fishing in one of the many, many lakes of the region.
